Conditions for Setting the DTC

C0401 03

• Vehicle speed greater than 73 kph (45 mph) for 5 minutes during an ignition cycle. Time at speed does not have to be continuous.
• The transfer case control module detects that the transfer case temperature is less than -40°C (-40°F) (0.03 V). (Sensor stuck LOW).
• This DTC runs continuously.

C0401 07

• Engine off time since last engine ON, 10 minutes.
• The transfer case control module detects that the transfer case temperature is greater than 149°C (300°F) (4.97 V). (Sensor stuck HIGH).
• This DTC runs at transfer case control module power up.

C0401 08

• The transfer case control module detects an abrupt transfer case temperature change of greater than 20°C (36°F) per second with the low reference stuck high or stuck low for 5 s.
• This DTC runs continuously.
