Circuit/System Verification

- Ignition ON, Engine OFF.
- Verify DTC P0641 is NOT set.
- If DTC P0641 is set
Diagnose DTC P0641 first. Refer to DTC P0641 .
- If DTC P0641 is NOT set
- If DTC P0641 is set
- Verify the transfer case 5V Reference parameter remains between 4.875-5.125 V.
- If NOT between 4.875-5.125 V
Refer to Circuit/System Testing.
- If between 4.875-5.125 V
- If NOT between 4.875-5.125 V
- Verify the transfer case 5V Reference Circuit Status parameter displays OK.
- If the transfer case 5V Reference Circuit Status parameter does NOT display OK
Refer to Circuit/System Testing.
- If the transfer case 5V Reference Circuit Status parameter does display OK
- If the transfer case 5V Reference Circuit Status parameter does NOT display OK
- Verify DTC C0401 is only set as a history DTC.
- If the DTC is set as current
Refer to Circuit/System Testing.
- If the DTC is set as history
- If the DTC is set as current
- Verify the integrity of each connector terminal of the K69 Transfer Case Control Module connector and the B109 Transfer Case Fluid Temperature Sensor connector for damage or corrosion. Repair as necessary.
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
- Verify the DTC C0401 does not set.
- If the DTC sets
Refer to Circuit/System Testing.
- If the DTC does not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
NOTE:
After inspection, apply Nyogel lubricant 760G to each connector terminal. Ensure each connector and CPA is correctly seated.
