Component Testing

M71 Transfer Case Clutch Coil
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the M71 Transfer Case Clutch Coil.
- Test for 2.5-3.5 Ω between the control circuit, terminal A, and the low reference circuit, terminal B.
- If not between 2.5-3.5 Ω
Replace the M71 Transfer Case Clutch Coil and perform the Transfer Case Clutch Identifier Configuration/Reset function. Refer to Transfer Case Control Module Scan Tool Information .
- If between 2.5-3.5 Ω
- If not between 2.5-3.5 Ω
- M71 Transfer Case Clutch Coil OK.
NOTE:
Testing for step 2 is performed on the M71 Transfer Case Clutch Coil using the PU probe J 35616-5.
