Preliminary Procedure Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (ATS)Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (ATS-V) .
1	Differential Carrier Drain Plug CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Draining Procedure Clean any dirt from around the differential drain plug. Remove the drain plug (1) from the differential. Filling Procedure Install the drain plug (1). Fill the differential with axle lubricant. Refer to Approximate Fluid Capacities . Check the fluid level in the differential. Add fluid until the recommended level is reached. Refer to Rear Axle Lubricant Level Inspection . Lower the vehicle. Tighten 33 N.m (24 lb ft)

Differential Carrier Drain Plug

CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Draining Procedure

Clean any dirt from around the differential drain plug.
Remove the drain plug (1) from the differential.

Filling Procedure

Install the drain plug (1).
Fill the differential with axle lubricant. Refer to Approximate Fluid Capacities .
Check the fluid level in the differential. Add fluid until the recommended level is reached. Refer to Rear Axle Lubricant Level Inspection .
Lower the vehicle.

Tighten
33 N.m (24 lb ft)
