Preliminary Procedure Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (ATS)Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (ATS-V) Remove the rear wheel drive shaft flange. Refer to Rear Wheel Drive Shaft Flange Replacement (218mm Axle) .
1	Differential Drive Pinion Gear Seal Procedure Using the appropriate tool, remove the differential drive pinion gear seal. Using the DT-50871 installer with the J-22828 driver, install the differential drive pinion gear seal. Special Tools DT-50871 Pinion Seal Installer J-22828 Driver For regional equivalent tools, refer to Special Tools .

Remove the rear wheel drive shaft flange. Refer to Rear Wheel Drive Shaft Flange Replacement (218mm Axle) .

Differential Drive Pinion Gear Seal

Procedure

Using the appropriate tool, remove the differential drive pinion gear seal.
Using the DT-50871 installer with the J-22828 driver, install the differential drive pinion gear seal.
