Circuit/System Verification

- Ignition ON.
- Verify the Body Control Module Brake Pedal Position Sensor Learned Released Position parameter is Yes.
- If the parameter is not Yes
Refer to Brake Pedal Position Sensor Calibration .
- If the parameter is Yes
- If the parameter is not Yes
- Verify the stop lamps operate properly when applying and releasing the brake pedal.
- If the stop lamps do not operate properly
Refer to Symptoms - Lighting .
- If the stop lamps operate properly
- If the stop lamps do not operate properly
- Verify that DTC B0655, C0277, or P0703 is not set.
- If any listed DTCs is set
Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle .
- If none listed DTC is set
- If any listed DTCs is set
- All OK, refer to Diagnostic Aids.
