Conditions for Setting the DTC

C0035 00, C0040 00, C0045 00, C0050 00, or C0035 04, C0040 04, C0045 04, or C0050 04
- A open/high resistance on the wheel speed sensor signal low circuit is detected for 0.2 sec.
- A open/high resistance on the wheel speed sensor signal high circuit is detected for 0.2 sec.
C0035 01, C0040 01, C0045 01, or C0050 01
A short to voltage on the wheel speed sensor signal low circuit is detected for 0.2 s.
C0035 02, C0040 02, C0045 02, or C0050 02 - C0035 06, C0040 06, C0045 06, or C0050 06
- A short to ground on the wheel speed sensor signal low circuit is detected for 0.2 s.
- A short to ground on the wheel speed sensor signal high circuit is detected for 0.2 s.
C0035 1B, C0040 1B, C0045 1B, or C0050 1B
The wheel speed sensor circuits are shorted together or shorted to another circuit.
C0035 3A, C0040 3A, C0045 3A, or C0050 3A
A incompatible or wrong wheel speed sensor is installed.
C0035 5A, C0040 5A, C0045 5A, or C0050 5A
- An invalid wheel speed sensor signal is detected.
- Debris on the wheel speed sensor or the tone ring.
- No wheel speed signal is detected with vehicle speed.
- Missing tooth or teeth on the wheel speed sensor tone ring.
- Air gap between the wheel speed sensor and the encoder ring.
- Electrical magnetic interference with the wheel speed sensor harness.
- A difference between the fastest and the slowest wheel speed is greater than 5%.
