Removal Procedure

- Remove the rear caliper and bracket. Rear Brake Caliper Bracket Replacement

- Remove the rear brake backing plate. Rear Brake Backing Plate Replacement
- Remove Wheel Drive Shaft Nut(1) and DISCARD
- Remove Wheel Speed Sensor Bolt (1)
- Remove Rear Wheel Speed Sensor (2)Rear Wheel Speed Sensor Replacement
- Remove the rear wheel bearing and hub assembly. Rear Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement
- Remove Rear Axle Upper Control Arm Outer Nut(1)
- Remove Rear Axle Upper Control Arm Outer Bolt (2) and DISCARD
- Remove Rear Suspension Adjust Link Outer Bolt (1) and DISCARD
- Remove Rear Stabilizer Shaft Link Bolt(1)
- Remove the parking brake cable bolt (1). Remove the parking brake cable from the knuckle.
- Remove the upper rear trailing arm nut (1) and bolt (2). DISCARD the bolt.
- Remove the lower rear trailing arm outer nut (1) and remove the bolt (2). DISCARD the bolt.
- Remove Rear Suspension Lower Control Arm Nut(1)
- Remove Rear Suspension Lower Control Arm Bolt(1) and DISCARD
- Remove Knuckle(1)
NOTE:
The wheel speed sensor must be secured to protect it from damage.
CAUTION:
Pry bar tools may cause damage to the ball joint seals when removing links from the knuckle. Damage to the seals may cause knuckle and control arm failure. The knuckle will need to be replaced if there is damage to the seals.
