Removal Procedure

Remove the front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Non V-Series)Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (V-Series)
Remove Front Air Deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement
Remove Engine Compartment Lower Noise Shield. Refer to Engine Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement (Front Wheel Drive)

If equipped, remove the electronic suspension wiring harness (1) from the front lower control front link (2).

NOTE:

Do NOT allow the ball stud to rotate while loosening the nut.

Loosen the steering knuckle nut (1).
Do NOT remove the nut.

Use the CH-42188-B separator (1) to separate the front lower control front link from the steering knuckle.

Remove the steering knuckle nut (1).

Remove the front lower control front link nut (1).
Remove the front lower control front link bolt (3).
DISCARD the bolt.
Remove the front lower control front link (2) from the steering knuckle (4).
