Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2017 Cadillac ATS. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Position the front lower control front link (2) in the steering knuckle (4).
- Position the front lower control front link (2) in the frame.
- Install the NEW front lower control front link bolt (3) and OLD nut (1).
- Tighten the NEW front lower control front link bolt (3).
Tighten
- First Pass: 100 N.m (74 lb ft)
- Final Pass: (90-105 degrees)
- Install and tighten the OLD steering knuckle nut (1).
Tighten
- First Pass: 40 N.m (30 lb ft)
- Final Pass: (120-135 degrees)
- If equipped, install the electronic suspension wiring harness (1) on the front lower control front link (2).
- Install Engine Compartment Lower Noise Shield. Refer to Engine Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement (Front Wheel Drive)
- Install Front Air Deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement
- Install the front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Non V-Series)
- Measure and adjust the wheel alignment. Refer to Wheel Alignment Measurement
CAUTION:
This vehicle is equipped with torque-to-yield or single use fasteners. Install a NEW torque-to-yield or single use fastener when installing this component. Failure to replace the torque-to-yield or single use fastener could cause damage to the vehicle or component.
