Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
    2. Fig 1: Evaporative Emission Pipe And Canister Purge Solenoid Valve

  2. Remove the evaporative emission pipe (1) from the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve and retainers. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (ATS)Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (ATS-V) .
  4. Remove the underbody front air deflector right side. Refer to Underbody Front Air Deflector Replacement - Right Side .
  5. Remove the front body exhaust heat shield right side. Refer to Front Body Exhaust Heat Shield Replacement (Right)Front Body Exhaust Heat Shield Replacement (Left) .

  6. Disconnect the evaporative emission pipe (1) and remove from retainers (2). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  7. Remove the evaporative emission pipe (1) from the vehicle.
