Draining Procedure

- Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (ATS-V)
- Place a suitable drain pan under the transmission.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the transmission fluid temperature sensor/drain plug (1).
- Remove the transmission fluid temperature sensor/drain plug (1).
- Allow the system to drain.
- Apply sealant to the transmission fluid temperature sensor/drain plug (1). Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers (MG9)
- Install the transmission fluid temperature sensor/drain plug (1) and tighten to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).
- Connect the electrical connector to the transmission fluid temperature sensor/drain plug.
