Component Testing

Static Test
- Ignition/Vehicle Off
- Disconnect the electrical connector: M47 Reverse Inhibit Solenoid Actuator
- Test for 10 to 18 Ω between the test points: Control terminal 1/A & B+ terminal 2/B
- If not between 10 and 18 Ω
Replace the component: M47 Reverse Inhibit Solenoid Actuator
- If between 10 and 18 Ω
- If not between 10 and 18 Ω
- Test for infinite resistance between the test points: Each terminal of the component & the component's housing
- If less than infinite resistance
Replace the component: M47 Reverse Inhibit Solenoid Actuator
- If infinite resistance
- If less than infinite resistance
- All OK.
NOTE:
The component's temperature should be 20 to 22°C (68 to 72°F) while testing.
