Installation Procedure

  1. Position the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe (1) on the vehicle.

  2. Install a NEW transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe fitting seal (1).

  3. Install the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe (2) in the transmission.
    4. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  4. Install the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe bolt (1) in the transmission and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).

  5. Install the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe clip bolt (1) in the engine oil pan and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).

  6. Install Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Clip (1) @Radiator Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection 
  7. Install Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe (2) @Radiator
  8. Install Engine Compartment Lower Noise Shield.Engine Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement (All Wheel Drive)Engine Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement (Front Wheel Drive)
  9. Install Front Air Deflector.Front Air Deflector Replacement

  10. Install Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Clip (1) @Air Conditioning Condenser Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection 
  11. Install Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe (2) @Air Conditioning Condenser
  12. Install Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Tube.Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Tube Replacement (LTG)
  13. Install Air Cleaner Assembly Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (LTG)
  14. Install Front Compartment Front Sight Shield.Front Compartment Front Sight Shield Replacement (Sedan)Front Compartment Front Sight Shield Replacement (Coupe)
  15. Install Front Wheelhouse Liner.Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Non V-Series)
  16. Fill the transmission to the proper level with NEW transmission fluid. Transmission Fluid Level and Condition Check
  17. Inspect for transmission fluid leaks.
