Installation Procedure

  1. Position the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe (1) on the vehicle.

  2. Install a NEW transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe fitting seal (1).

  3. Install the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe (2) in the transmission.
    4. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  4. Install the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe bolt (1) in the transmission and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).

  5. Install the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe clip bolts (1) in the engine oil pan and tighten to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).

  6. Install Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Clip (1) @Radiator Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection 
  7. Install Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe (2) @Radiator
  8. Install Engine Compartment Lower Noise Shield.Engine Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement (All Wheel Drive)
  9. Install Front Air Deflector.Front Air Deflector Replacement
  10. Install Front Wheelhouse Liner.Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Non V-Series)

  11. Install Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Clip (1) @Radiator Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection 
  12. Install Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe (2) @Radiator
  13. Install Air Cleaner Assembly Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (LGX)
  14. Install Front Compartment Front Sight Shield Front Compartment Front Sight Shield Replacement (Sedan)Front Compartment Front Sight Shield Replacement (Coupe)
  15. Check the transmission fluid level. Transmission Fluid Level and Condition Check
  16. Inspect for transmission fluid leaks.
