Removal Procedure

  1. Remove Engine Compartment Lower Noise Shield.Engine Compartment Lower Noise Shield Replacement (All Wheel Drive)
  2. Remove Front Wheelhouse Liner Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Non V-Series)
    3. Fig 1: Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet And Outlet Pipe Retaining Clip At Radiator

  3. Remove Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Clip (1) @Radiator Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection 
    4. NOTE:

    Cover or plug all open transmission fluid cooler pipe connection points to help avoid any accidental contamination.

  4. Remove Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe (2) @Radiator
  5. Remove Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe Clip (3) @Transmission Fluid Auxiliary Cooler Outlet Pipe Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection 
    6. NOTE:

    Cover or plug all open transmission fluid cooler pipe connection points to help avoid any accidental contamination.

  6. Remove Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet and Outlet Pipe (4)@Transmission Fluid Auxiliary Cooler Outlet Pipe

  7. Remove the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe clip bolt (1) from the engine oil pan.

  8. Remove the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe bolt (1) from the transmission.
    9. NOTE:

    Cover or plug all open transmission fluid cooler pipe connection points to help avoid any accidental contamination.

  9. Remove the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe (2) from the transmission.

  10. Remove the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe fitting seal (1).

    DISCARD the seal.

  11. Remove the transmission fluid cooler inlet and outlet pipe (1) from the vehicle.
  12. Transfer components as necessary.
