Removal Procedure

If equipped with an automatic transmission, remove the automatic transmission flex plate. Refer to Automatic Transmission Flex Plate Replacement .
If equipped with an manual transmission, remove the engine flywheel. Refer to Engine Flywheel Replacement .

NOTE:

Do not damage the outside diameter of the crankshaft or chamber with any tool.

Use a suitable tool to remove the crankshaft rear oil seal (1).
