Heater Inlet Hose Replacement (LCV, LTG)

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the outer fuel pump insulator. Refer to Fuel Pump Insulator Replacement (Outer) .
  2. Remove the right side front end sheet metal diagonal brace. Refer to Front End Sheet Metal Diagonal Brace Replacement - Right Side .
  3. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static)Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716) .
1 Heater Outlet Hose Clamp (Qty: 2)
Procedure 
Reposition the heater outlet hose clamps using BO-38185  Hose Clamp Pliers.
Special Tools 
BO-38185  Hose Clamp Pliers
For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .
2 Heater Outlet Hose

Procedure

  1. Unclip the heater outlet hose from the retainer.
  2. Fill coolant to the proper level. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static)Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716) .
  3. Inspect cooling system for leaks. Refer to Cooling System Leak Testing .
