Removal Procedure

  1. Recover the air conditioning system refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (R-134a) Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (R-1234yf) .
  2. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (LTG) .
  3. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (LTG) .
  4. Remove the charge air cooler inlet air tube. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Inlet Air Tube Replacement (LTG) .
  5. Remove the turbocharger heat shield. Refer to Turbocharger Heat Shield Replacement .

  6. Remove the air conditioning compressor and condenser hose nut (1) from the air conditioning evaporator hose.
  7. Remove the air conditioning compressor and condenser hose (2) from air conditioning evaporator hose.
  8. Remove and discard the sealing washer (3).

  9. Remove the air conditioning compressor and condenser hose bolt (1) from the compressor.
  10. Remove the air conditioning compressor and condenser hose (2) from the compressor.
  11. Remove and discard the sealing washers (3).
  12. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (ATS) .
  13. Remove the left front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Non V-Series) .

  14. Remove the air conditioning compressor and condenser hose nut (1) from the condenser.
  15. Disconnect the refrigerant pressure sensor electrical connector.
  16. Remove the air conditioning compressor and condenser hose (2) from the condenser.
  17. Remove and discard the sealing washer (3).

  18. Lower the vehicle.
  19. Remove the air conditioning compressor and condenser hose (1) from vehicle.
