Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (LTG)

Preliminary Procedures Recover the air conditioning system refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (R-134a) Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (R-1234yf) . Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (LTG) . Remove the charge air cooler inlet air tube. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Inlet Air Tube Replacement (LTG) . Remove the air conditioning compressor and condenser hose from the air conditioning compressor. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor and Condenser Hose Replacement (LTG) . Remove the drive belt from the air conditioning compressor. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement . Disconnect the air conditioning compressor electrical connector.
1	Air Conditioning Compressor Nut CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
2	Air Conditioning Compressor Stud Tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)
3	Air Conditioning Compressor Bolt (Qty: 2) Tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
4	Air Conditioning Compressor Procedure Remove and discard sealing washers and replace with NEW. Refer to Air Conditioning System Seal Replacement . When replacing the air conditioning compressor, balance the compressor oil. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Oil Balancing .
