Installation Procedure

Attach the starter solenoid cable retainers (1) to the engine harness.

CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Install the starter solenoid cable ground (1), to the right upper tie bar frame extension rail, and tighten the fastener (2) to 11 N.m (97 lb in).
Attach the heater cord retainer (3), if equipped.

Attach the following to the pre-fuse block:
- Starter Solenoid Cable (5).
- Battery Positive Cable (4).
- Battery Positive Barrel Fastener (3). Tighten to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
- Pre-Fuse Block Cover (2).
- Battery Jumper Post Cover (1).

Install the starter solenoid cable (1) to the starter solenoid and tighten the fastener (2) to 12.5 N.m (111 lb in).
Install the starter solenoid cable ground (4), to the engine block, and tighten the fastener (3) to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).
If equipped with all-wheel drive, install the front axle propeller shaft. Refer to Front Axle Propeller Shaft Replacement (LGX, LTG) .
Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
If equipped with an engine block heater (K05), install the engine block heater cord replacement. Refer to Coolant Heater Cord Replacement (LCV, LTG) .
