Removal Procedure

Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (ATS-V)

Remove Starter (4). Refer to Starter Replacement (LF4 - Manual Transmission) Starter Replacement (LF4 - Automatic Transmission)

Disconnect Starter Solenoid Connector (1)
Remove Starter Solenoid Cable Nut (2)
Remove Starter Solenoid Cable (3)
Remove Starter (4)

Disconnect the starter solenoid cable connector (1) from the engine harness connector (2).

Disengage Wiring Harness Retainer (1) (Qty: 3)

Disengage Wiring Harness Retainer (1)

Remove the following from the pre-fuse junction block:
- Battery Jumper Post Cover (1)
- Pre-Fuse Block Cover (2)
- Battery Positive Barrel Fastener (3)
- Battery Positive Cable (4)
- Starter Solenoid Cable (5)
Remove Starter Solenoid Cable (5)
