Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Pre-Fuse Block

  1. Attach the following to the pre-fuse block:
    • Starter Solenoid Cable (5)
    • Battery Positive Cable (4)
      • CAUTION:

      Refer to Fastener Caution .

    • Battery Positive Barrel Fastener (3). Tighten to 12 N.m (106 lb in).
    • Pre-Fuse Block Cover (2)
    • Battery Jumper Post Cover (1)

  2. Engage Wiring Harness Retainer (1)

  3. Engage Wiring Harness Retainer (1)

  4. Engage Wiring Harness Retainer (1) (Qty: 3)

  5. Connect the starter solenoid cable connector (1) to the engine harness connector (2).

  6. Connect Starter Solenoid Connector (1)
  7. Install Starter Solenoid Cable (3)
  8. Install and tighten Starter Solenoid Cable Nut (2) to 12.5 N.m (111 lb in)
  9. Install Starter (4). Refer to Starter Replacement (LF4 - Manual Transmission) Starter Replacement (LF4 - Automatic Transmission) 
  10. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
