Removal Procedure

Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (ATS)

Remove Starter Heat Shield (2). Refer to Starter Shield Replacement (LGX)

Remove Starter Solenoid Cable Nut (1)
Remove Battery Positive Cable Retainer Fastener (3)
Remove Battery Positive Cable (2)

Remove Knock Sensor-Bank 2 (3). Refer to Knock Sensor Replacement - Bank 2 (LGX)

Reposition Heated Oxygen Sensor Electrical Connector (1)
Remove the starter bolts (2).

Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the starter (1).
