Installation Procedure

Connect the electrical connector and install the starter (1).

CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Install the starter mounting bolts (2) and tighten to 58 N.m (43 lb ft)
Reposition Heated Oxygen Sensor Electrical Connector (1)

Install Battery Positive Cable (2)
Tighten Starter Solenoid Cable Nut (1) to 12.5 N.m (111 lb in)
Tighten Battery Positive Cable Retainer Fastener (3) to 6 N.m (53 lb in)

Install Knock Sensor-Bank 2 (3). Refer to Knock Sensor Replacement - Bank 2 (LGX)

Install Starter Heat Shield (2). Refer to Starter Shield Replacement (LGX)
Lower the vehicle.
Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
