Removal Procedure

- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
- Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
- Remove the charge air cooler outlet air tube. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Tube Replacement (LTG) .
- Disconnect the engine harness connector (1) and remove the B + generator protective boot (4).
- Remove the fastener (3) and the engine harness battery positive terminal (2), from the back of the generator.
- Remove the generator mounting fasteners (1) and the engine harness bracket retainer (4).
- Remove the generator mounting fastener (2) and the generator mounting stud (3).
- Remove the generator (1) from the engine compartment.
