Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static) Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716) 
  2. Drain the engine oil. Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement (LGX, RWD)Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement (LGX, AWD)
  3. Remove Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (LGX)
  4. Remove Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (LGX)

  5. Remove Air Conditioning Compressor and Condenser Hose Clamp Bracket Nut (1)
  6. Reposition Air Conditioning Compressor and Condenser Hose (2)

  7. Remove Engine Oil Cooler Pipe Retainer (1)
  8. Disconnect Engine Oil Cooler Outlet Hose (2)

  9. Disengage Engine Oil Cooler Inlet Hose Clamp (1)- Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type

  10. Remove Engine Oil Cooler Adapter Bolt (1)
