1	Sealant Procedure Ensure proper use of room temperature vulcanizing (RTV) sealant. Refer to Use of Room Temperature Vulcanizing (RTV) and Anaerobic Sealant Place a 3 mm (0.118 in) bead of RTV sealant to the NEW crankshaft rear oil seal housing as shown (1). Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers (LGX) for recommended sealant. NOTE: DO NOT allow any engine oil on the area where the crankshaft rear oil seal housing is to be installed.

Place a 3 mm (0.118 in) bead of RTV sealant to the NEW crankshaft rear oil seal housing as shown (1). Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers (LGX) for recommended sealant.

NOTE:

DO NOT allow any engine oil on the area where the crankshaft rear oil seal housing is to be installed.
