Installation Procedure

  1. Install Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly into the cylinder head evenly.
    2. Fig 1: Fuel Rail Fastener Tightening Sequence

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Hand tighten the two outer fuel rail fasteners to seat the injectors.
  3. Start and hand tighten the remaining fuel rail fastener.
  4. Tighten the fuel rail fasteners in the sequence shown above:
    1. Install and tighten Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Fastener (Qty: 3) to 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
  5. Install the NEW fuel feed intermediate pipe. Refer to Fuel Feed Intermediate Pipe Replacement (LGX)

  6. Connect Electrical Connector (1)
  7. Inspect for fuel leaks using the following procedure:
    1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF for 2 seconds.
    2. Turn OFF the ignition, for 10 seconds.
    3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
    4. Inspect for fuel leaks.
  8. Install Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Noise Shield. Refer to Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Noise Shield Replacement 
  9. Install Fuel Pipe Shield. Refer to Fuel Pipe Shield Replacement (LGX)
