Removal Procedure

  1. Remove Oil Pan- Oil Pan Replacement (LF4) Oil Pan Replacement (LGX, AWD) Oil Pan Replacement (LGX, RWD) 
    2. Fig 1: Oil Pump Drive Bolt

    NOTE:

    Engine front cover not shown for clarity.

  2. Remove Remove Oil Pump Drive Bolt (1)
  3. Remove the oil pump sprocket (2) from the oil pump drive shaft leaving the oil pump timing chain (4) on the crankshaft sprocket.
  4. Clean and inspect all of the oil pump drive components.
