Removal Procedure

  1. Remove Camshaft Timing Chain-Right Side - Camshaft Timing Chain Assembly Replacement - Right Side (LGX)

  2. Remove Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Noise Shield (1) - Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Noise Shield Replacement

  3. Remove Warm Up Three-Way Catalytic Converter (3) @Bank 1 - Catalytic Converter Replacement - Right Side (LGX)
  4. Remove Fuel Pump - Fuel Pump Replacement (LGX)
  5. Remove the ground wire bolt and ground wire.
  6. Disconnect and reposition harness as necessary.
  7. Remove Camshaft-Right Side - Camshaft Removal - Right Side (LGX)

  8. Remove Camshaft Carrier- Right Side (2) - Camshaft Carrier Removal - Right Side

  9. Remove Valve Lifter (1, 2) Right Side - Valve Lifter Replacement - Right Side (LGX)

  10. Remove Cylinder Head Bolt (1) and DISCARD
  11. Remove and DISCARD the rear M8 right cylinder head bolt (2)
  12. Remove Cylinder Head Assembly (3)
  13. Remove Cylinder Head Gasket (4) and DISCARD
  14. Cylinder Head»Clean and inspect - Cylinder Head Cleaning and Inspection
  15. Engine Block»Clean and inspect - Engine Block Cleaning and Inspection
  16. Disassemble the cylinder head as necessary. Cylinder Head Disassemble (LGX)
