Removal Procedure

- Remove Camshaft Timing Chain-Left Side - Camshaft Timing Chain Assembly Replacement - Left Side (LGX)
- Remove Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Noise Shield (1)- Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Noise Shield Replacement
- Remove Fuel Feed Intermediate Pipe (2) - Fuel Feed Intermediate Pipe Replacement (LGX)
- Remove Catalytic Converter-Left Side (3) - Catalytic Converter Replacement - Left Side (LGX)
- Remove Oil Level Indicator Tube (2) - Oil Level Indicator Tube Replacement (LGX)
- Remove the ground wire bolt and ground wire.
- Disconnect and reposition harness as necessary.
- Remove Camshaft-Left Side - Camshaft Replacement - Left Side (LGX)
- Camshaft Carrier-Left Side (2) - Camshaft Carrier Removal - Left Side
- Remove and DISCARD the 2 front M8 left cylinder head bolts (1).
- Remove Cylinder Head Bolt (2) and DISCARD
- Remove Cylinder Head Assembly (3)
- Remove Cylinder Head Gasket (4) and DISCARD
- Refer to Cylinder Head Cleaning and Inspection
- Refer to Engine Block Cleaning and Inspection
- Disassemble the cylinder head as necessary. Cylinder Head Disassemble (LGX)
