Removal Procedure

  1. Remove Drive Belt. Drive Belt Replacement (LGX) 
  2. Remove Starter. Starter Replacement (LGX)

  3. Install the EN-46106  tool (1) through the starter mounting hole.

    NOTE:

    Do not discard the crankshaft balancer bolt. The balancer bolt will be used during the balancer installation.

  4. Remove the crankshaft balancer bolt (1).

  5. Install the EN-44226-5  button (1) in the nose of the crankshaft.
  6. Install the EN-41816  remover (2) in order to remove the crankshaft balancer.
  7. Tighten the center bolt of the EN-41816  remover (2) in order to pull the crankshaft balancer off of the crankshaft.
  8. Remove the EN-41816  remover and EN-44226-5  button from the crankshaft balancer.
