Installation Procedure

- Raise the differential carrier assembly (1) into position.
- Install the differential carrier rear bolt (1) and tighten to:
- First Pass: 220 N.m (162 lb ft)
- Final Pass: plus 60 degrees
- Install the 2 differential carrier front bolts (1) and tighten to:
- First Pass: 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
- Final Pass: plus 90 degrees
- Install the rear wheel drive shafts to the differential carrier assembly. Rear Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement - Left Side (LCV, LF4)Rear Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement - Right Side (LF4, LCV)
- Install the propeller shaft. Two-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement (LF4)
- Connect the differential oil cooler outlet hose. Differential Oil Cooler Outlet Hose Replacement (226mm eLSD)
- Connect the differential oil pump inlet hose. Differential Oil Pump Inlet Hose Replacement (226mm eLSD)
- Fill the differential with the proper fluid. Rear Axle Lubricant Replacement (226mm eLSD)
- Fill the differential clutch system. Approximate Fluid Capacities .
- Perform the Rear Differential Clutch Control Module Calibration. Rear Differential Clutch Control Module Calibration
- Perform the Rear Hydraulic System Service Fill/Bleed. Rear Differential Hydraulic System Service Fill/Bleed
- Remove the supports and lower the vehicle.
