Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2016 Cadillac ATS. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Install automatic transmission control wiring harness (4).
- If necessary, install the control valve body to the transmission. Refer to Control Valve Body Replacement (M5N)
- Connect the wiring harness clip (5) to the valve body.
- Connect the transmission control wiring harness connectors (1).
- If equipped, connect the transmission control wiring harness connector (2), and ensure the valve body connector retainer is latched (3).
- Install the transmission fluid filter (4) and all other related components. Refer to Automatic Transmission Fluid, Fluid Pan and/or Filter Replacement (Rear Wheel Drive) Automatic Transmission Fluid, Fluid Pan and/or Filter Replacement (All Wheel Drive) .
NOTE:
The new replacement wiring harness may not have electrical connector (2). It will be a one piece harness.
NOTE:
Be sure to remove any labels used to mark and identify the connectors during removal.
