Installation Procedure

  1. Position the automatic transmission input and output speed sensor wiring harness (3) to the transmission.
  2. Connect the input and output speed sensor wiring harness retainers (4).
  3. CAUTION:

    This vehicle is equipped with torque-to-yield or single use fasteners. Install a NEW torque-to-yield or single use fastener when installing this component. Failure to replace the torque-to-yield or single use fastener could cause damage to the vehicle or component.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  4. Install the NEW input and output speed sensor wiring harness bolts (1) and tighten the bolts to 4 N.m (35 lb in) plus 45 degrees.

  6. Connect the electrical connector (1).
  7. Install the control valve body to the transmission. Refer to Control Valve Body Replacement (M5U, M5T) Control Valve Body Replacement (M5N) .
  8. Reprogram the transmission. Solenoid Valve Characterization Reprogramming
