Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement (M5U with LF4 Engine) Transmission Replacement (M5N with LGX Engine) Transmission Replacement (M5N with LTG Engine) Transmission Replacement (M5T with LCV Engine) 
    2. Fig 1: Torque Converter And Holding Strap

  2. Remove the converter holding strap (1) DT-21366  Converter Holding Strap from the transmission.
  3. Place a drain pan under the front of the transmission.
  4. Remove the torque converter (2) from the transmission.
