Front Seat Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement (Coupe)

Preliminary Procedures
- Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling
.
- Remove the driver or passenger seat. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Removal and Installation .
- Remove the driver or passenger seat inner recliner finish cover. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Inner Recliner Finish Cover Replacement .
- Remove the driver or passenger seat cushion outer finish panel. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Cushion Outer Finish Panel Replacement (Coupe) .
- Remove the front seat front extension cushion, if equipped. Refer to Front Seat Front Extension Cushion Replacement .
- Whenever the inflatable restraint passenger presence system or any component of the passenger presence system is removed. Refer to Control Module References

Front Seat Cushion Cover Procedure
- Disengage the J-channel retainers from the seat cushion frame.
- Disconnect electrical connectors, if equipped.
- If the seat is equipped with lane departure warning actuators, slide the actuators out of the seat cushion pockets.
- Remove the seat cushion cover and pad from the seat cushion frame as an assembly.
- Carefully remove all hog rings attaching the cover to the pad and replace with new.
- Gently unhook the clips that attach the cushion cover to the cushion pad without tearing the foam pad, if equipped.
- Pull the cover away from the pad to disengage the retainers.
- When replacing the front passenger seat cushion, you must also replace the inflatable restraint passenger presence system. Refer to Control Module References

Front Seat Cushion Pad Procedure Separate the seat cushion cover from the seat cushion pad by pulling the cover away from the pad.
NOTE:
Transfer the lane departure actuators if servicing the driver side pad.
