Steering Linkage Inner Tie Rod Replacement

Preliminary Procedure 
Remove Steering Gear Boot. Refer to Steering Gear Boot Replacement (Non V-Series) Steering Gear Boot Replacement (V-Series) 
1 Steering Linkage Inner Tie Rod

Procedure

  1. Place a 42 mm wrench on the flats of the steering linkage inner tie rod and rotate the tie rod counterclockwise to remove it from the steering gear rack.
  2. Place a 42 mm wrench on the flats of the steering linkage inner tie rod and rotate the tie rod clockwise to install to install it to the steering gear rack.
  3. Measure and adjust the front toe. Refer to Wheel Alignment - Steering Wheel Angle and/or Front Toe Adjustment

Tighten 
105 N.m (77 lb ft)
