Circuit/System Verification

    NOTE:
    • P1761 is an informational DTC.
    • Diagnose all other K71 Transmission Control Module and K9 Body Control Module DTCs prior to DTC P1761.
  1. Verify with a scan tool, there are no other K71 Transmission Control Module or K9 Body Control Module DTCs set.
    • If a DTC is not set 
  2. Complete the diagnosis by looking for a serial data fault. Refer to Scan Tool Does Not Communicate with Low Speed GMLAN Device .
    • If a serial data circuit fault is found 

      Repair as necessary.

    • If a serial data circuit fault is not found 
  3. All OK.
