The Multi-Axis Acceleration sensor sends the amount or rate of acceleration to the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM). To improve vehicle performance and transmission shift feel, the EBCM is constantly sending the Transmission Control Module (TCM) serial data messages with information regarding the rate of vehicle acceleration. The TCM sets this DTC when it detects a discrepancy in the structure of the message, causing the signal message integrity to be questioned.
