Circuit/System Testing

  1. Verify the conditions listed below do not exist. Carefully inspect each component for that condition. Repair or replace as necessary.

P0796 or P0797 - Control Valve Solenoid Body 

Transmission Control Solenoid Valve 3 stuck/sticking-debris, binding, damage valve.

P0796 or P0797 - Control Valve Solenoid Body 

1-3-5-6-7 Clutch regulator valve stuck/sticking - debris, binding, damage valve, scored bore.

P0796 or P0797 - 1-3-5-6-7 Clutch Assembly 

1-3-5-6-7 Clutch piston housing retaining ring not seated or clutch piston seals missing or damaged.

P0796 or P0797 - 1-3-5-6-7 Clutch 

Fluid circuit - plugged with debris, or leaks due to missing or damage O-rings, seals, or gaskets.
