Component Testing

  1. Perform the Circuit/System Testing first.
  2. Ignition Off, remove the transmission fluid pan from the T12 Automatic Transmission Assembly.
  3. Disconnect the vehicle harness connector at X175.
  4. Remove the automatic transmission wiring harness electrical connector passage sleeve.
  5. Disconnect the transmission control wiring harness.
  6. Connector a jumper wire between X176 terminal 15 and terminal 16.
  7. Test for infinite resistance between X175 terminal 11 and ground.
    • If less than infinite resistance 

      Replace the automatic transmission wire harness electrical connector passage sleeve.

    • If infinite resistance 
  8. Test for less than 2 Ω between X175 terminal 11 and terminal 12.
    • If 2 Ω or greater 

      Replace the automatic transmission wire harness electrical connector passage sleeve.

    • If less than 2 Ω 
  9. NOTE:

    The B13 Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor is part of the transmission control wiring harness assembly.

  10. Replace the B13 Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor.
