Hood Adjustment

CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Procedure

  1. Loosen the 4 hood hinge nuts.
  2. Adjust the hood in order to obtain an even gap on both sides between the hood and the fenders, the front grille and headlamps.
  3. Loosen and adjust the hood primary and secondary latch and the hood bumpers as necessary to obtain the adjustment.

Adjustment:

  • Hood to front fender (a) 4.0 mm ±.75 mm (0.15 in ± 0.03 in)
  • Hood to headlamp (b) 6.0 mm ± 1.0 mm (0.24 in ± 0.04 in)
  • Hood to Grille (c) 6.0 mm ±.1.5 mm (0.24 in ± 0.06 in)

Tighten 
22 N.m (16 lb ft)
