Preliminary Procedures Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief . Remove the Intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement . Remove the fuel pipe shield. Refer to Fuel Pipe Shield Replacement .
1	Fitting (Qty: 3) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . NOTE: Tighten the fittings in sequence (1, 2, 3). Tighten 28 N.m (21 lb ft)
2	Fuel Feed Intermediate Pipe Procedure Discard the pipe when removed and install a NEW pipe. Lubricate the pipes with silicon free engine oil. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers . Pressure up the fuel system and check for leaks.

Tighten the fittings in sequence (1, 2, 3).

Tighten
28 N.m (21 lb ft)

Fuel Feed Intermediate Pipe

Procedure

Discard the pipe when removed and install a NEW pipe.
Lubricate the pipes with silicon free engine oil. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers .
Pressure up the fuel system and check for leaks.
