Component Testing
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the G18 High Pressure Fuel Pump.
- Test for 9-11 Ω at 25°C (77°F) of resistance between G18 High Pressure Fuel Pump actuator low control circuit terminal 1 and high control circuit terminal 2.
- If not within the specified range
Replace the G18 High Pressure Fuel Pump.
- If within the specified range
- If not within the specified range
- Test for infinite resistance between each G18 High Pressure Fuel Pump actuator terminal and the G18 High Pressure Fuel Pump housing/case.
- If less than infinite resistance
Replace the G18 High Pressure Fuel Pump.
- If infinite resistance
- If less than infinite resistance
- All OK.
NOTE:
The DMM and test leads must be calibrated to 0 Ω in order to prevent misdiagnosis.
