Liftgate Replacement (Acadia, Enclave, Traverse)

Preliminary Procedures

1. Use a grease pencil to mark the liftgate hinge position.
2. Remove the liftgate garnish molding. Refer to Liftgate Garnish Molding Replacement (TB5) , Liftgate Garnish Molding Replacement (TB4)
3. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
4. Disconnect the washer hose
5. Disconnect the liftgate struts. Refer to Liftgate Strut Replacement (Acadia, Enclave, Traverse) .
6. Disconnect the liftgate actuator rod. Refer to Liftgate Actuator Rod Replacement

Procedure

1. Remove the liftgate from the vehicle with aid of an assistant.
2. Transfer parts as needed.
3. Adjust the liftgate if needed. Refer to Liftgate Adjustment (Acadia) , Liftgate Adjustment (Enclave) , Liftgate Adjustment (Traverse) .
