Sunroof Motor/Actuator Replacement

Preliminary Procedure: 
It is only necessary to lower the headliner. Only perform the steps in the headliner replacement procedure that will lower the headliner enough to gain access to the part. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement .
1 Sunroof Motor/Actuator Bolt (Qty: 3)
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Procedure

  1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  2. With a turning motion, pull downward on the motor/actuator. Disengage the motor from the drive cables.
  3. Install the motor/actuator to the module with a turning motion. Push upward. This will engage the motor/actuator into the drive cables.

Tighten:  6 N.m (53 lb in).

2 Sunroof Motor/Actuator

Procedure

  1. Verify the sunroof operation.
  2. Sunroof track timing/synchronization. Refer to Sunroof Track Timing/Synchronization .
  3. After installing the sunroof motor/actuator refer to Sunroof Motor/Actuator Initialization/Teach Process .
