Endgate Lock Cylinder Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the endgate cover. Refer to Pickup Box Endgate Latch Cover Replacement .
2. Disconnect the clip (1) retaining the lock rod to the lock cylinder.
3. Remove the lock rod from the retaining clip (1).
4. Remove the bolt retaining the lock cylinder to the endgate handle.
5. Remove the lock cylinder from the endgate handle.

Installation Procedure




1. Code the new lock cylinder. Refer to Key and Lock Cylinder Coding Procedures.
2. Install the lock cylinder to the endgate handle.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

3. Install the bolt retaining the lock cylinder to the endgate handle.

Tighten the lock cylinder bolt to 9 Nm (80 lb in).

4. Install the lock rod to the retaining clip (1).
5. Connect the clip (1) retaining the lock rod to the lock cylinder.
6. Install the endgate cover. Refer to Pickup Box Endgate Latch Cover Replacement .
