Installation Procedure

  1. Position the backup lamp gasket (1) to the auxiliary back up lamp assembly (2).
  2. Insert the backup lamp assembly into the holes in the outer liftgate filler panel.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Install the nuts (1).

    Tighten 

    5 N.m (44 lb in).

  4. Install the back up lamp bulb (3) into the bulb socket (2).
  5. Install the bulb assembly into the lamp.

  6. Position the auxiliary backup lamp bracket (2) onto the backup lamp assembly.
  7. Install the screw (1).

    Tighten 

    2 N.m(18 lb in).

  8. Connect the backup lamp and running lamp electrical connectors.
  9. Install the interior liftgate trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement (Traverse) , Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement (Enclave) , Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement (Acadia) .
